ROBIN THE NEEDLE

Robin was born and raised in Vaasa, Finland. As a young child he always had a passion for metal music & art. He first started off in the piercing trade but after a few years he knew he wanted to do more, he wanted to become a tattoo artist. So to gain his knowledge and educational training he left his home, family & friends to pursue his dream. In 2009 he attended a tattoo school in Canada. During this time he completed the training top of his class and was offered a position as a full time tattoo artist along side responsibilities of shop manager and piercer. After fulfilling 4 years of work, Robin decided it was time to move back home and open his own studio. On Sept 13, 2013 Fist of Needles Tattoo & Piercing was born. Robin is now an award winning and world traveling tattoo artist with a love for Dark Surrealism and Bio Organica fueled by Blackened Metal and Twisted Visions! He is always looking for clients that want evil sh*t!

Tattoos done by Robin are charged at an hourly rate of 130€ per hour.

RODRIGO

Rodrigo is originally from Brazil but currently lives in Vaasa. He first came into contact with art as a child and was later inspired by his love for metal music and the album cover artworks. His first step into tattooing was being taught the basics by a childhood friend, and in 2008 he moved to London to apprentice at a tattoo studio there. He has also worked in other countries, like USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Denmark.
His preferred styles are black & grey realism, surrealism, and dark art.

Tattoos by Rodrigo are charged at an hourly rate of 120€/hour. Service in English and Portuguese.

Hello! My name is Rattanawadee, but most people call me Oil. I’m 38 years old and originally from Thailand, though I’ve been living in Finland for about 12 years. I’ve loved drawing since I was a child, and in 2019, I turned my passion into a career by becoming a tattoo artist. My specialty is fine-line work, including whip shading and black-and-grey tattoos, with a focus on creating delicate and precise designs. While I’m interested in almost all tattoo styles, I tend to avoid working with vibrant colors. My native language is Thai, but I also speak a little English and Finnish

JAMIE

Jamie is from Toronto, Canada. She moved to Finland with her husband Robin in June 2013 to help with his dream of opening a tattoo studio. Jamie is the studio’s General Manager & main Piercer. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of beauty salon and cosmetic services. Back in Canada she offered her clients all kinds of beauty services, from laser tattoo removal and laser hair removal services to hair extensions, eyelash extensions and nail art.

EMILY

Emily started working with us in April 2018, as full-time reception manager, and by 2019 she also started piercing. She is now our part-time piercer, mainly working Wednesdays and Fridays. Emily also designs and creates custom jewelry and accessories, under the name ZiskaDesign, that you can buy at our studio or in her Etsy-store. You can take a look at her jewelry creations on Facebook or Instagram, and she also has an Instagram account for leatherwork.
She offers customer service in Swedish, English and Finnish.

MATHILDA

Mathilda started training with us in August 2021. By January 2022 she was our full-time front reception manager. In June 2022, she started training as the new Piercing apprentice and completed her apprenticeship by the end of 2023. Now in 2024, Mathilda received an opportunity in Norway to be a full-time piercer, but when she returns to her hometown of Vasa, she is back at our studio, doing what she does best – stabbing you with needles! We will be posting her availability when she is back in town. She offers customer service in Swedish, English, and Finnish.

Booking Managers / Customer Service

SANNI

Sanni is our part-time Saturday Manager since January 2022. Some of you may recognize her, as she’s a full-time bartender at Little Pub, but we’re lucky to have her services on our busy Saturdays. She is the one greeting you at our front reception and handles your tattoo and piercing inquiries. Sanni is also a registered nurse, and has her first aid certification.
